*Actor Needed*

We are currently casting the main part of Sylvia von Harden in our production of Monocle, Portrait of S von Harden.

Location: London
Salary: Unpaid for now
Production Dates: February 2018 onward
Apply by: 12/01/18

Physical characteristics: Caucasian, with short, dark brown hair.
Taller than 5.9 (1.75cm) and slim build.
Somewhat angular and sharp features.
Please refer to the painting Portrait of S. von Harden by Otto Dix for guidance.

The female character of Sylvia will most likely be played either in drag by a heteronormative man OR (and this is of particular interest to us) a non-binary, genderfluid performer or transgender. However, since our focus is more on finding a perfect fit in terms of movement and characterisation, we will not limit the casting process in terms of gender.

We are currently looking at scratch nights and a potential run of 3 nights at the Landor Space in 2018. These will most likely be unpaid or profit share, for now, however, we are committed to finding someone that can become part of our company and, at a later stage, be paid accordingly. We are also looking into funding bodies, including the European Union Culture Fund and bodies situated in The Netherlands, Norway and Germany. For the Goethe Institut (Germany) we would need a German company member, as well as the piece including German words and sentences. A German background, therefore, would be favourable.

If interested, please contact us on jatheatre@outlook.com or give us a call on 07460857946.
Please send us your headshot, CV and/or spotlight link.

Be bold, we are not the biting type. :)

All the best,
Anne and Melissa

*Producer Wanted*

Are you producer (or theatre maker with production experience) that has an interest for European work, text based theatre, 1920s Berlin, or are just intrigued, please contact us! Being fluent in another language (preferably German or French, or fellow Dutchies or Norwegies :)) would be great, but is not essential. We are mainly just looking for someone with experience that really fits our team and ethos.

We would like to invite anyone interested to send us an e-mail (jatheatre@outlook.com) including your CV and a few sentences about who you are and why you want to be part of Ja?Theatre. We will then invite some of you to either meet us on Saturday the 11th of November or Wednesday the 15th, so please include in the e-mail your availability. Still e-mail us if unavailable, Iā€™m sure we can arrange something:).

We hope to hear from you!
