Ja?TheatreCompany currently consists of three Central graduates: director Anne Mulleners, dramaturg Melissa Syversen and producer Christina Bulford. Melissa and Anne were responsible for the translation of /SYLVIA\ from French and German to English.

Anne is  a Dutch director  and has a background in circus performance and acting. She has worked as a stage manager and (assistant) director on several productions including Snow in Berlin (Landor Space),  Sweet Like Chocolate, Boy by Tristan Fynn Aiduenu (the Cockpit, London), Troika Theatre’s Sad Girls (Edinburgh Fringe, Greenside) She has recently been .a theatre critic on Noises Off during the National Student Drama Festival (@mullenersanne). This will be the first piece she directs as part of Ja?TheatreCompany.

Upcoming summer she will be working (again) as a stage manager on the tour of Yolanda Mercy's Quarter Life Crisis (Underbelly, Edinburgh Fringe 2017), and will be travelling up to Wandsworth and Edinburgh Fringe with Part of the Main Production's Infestation.

Anne is a recent graduate from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.

Melissa Syversen

About


Melissa is a Norwegian dramaturg and actress. She trained at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts (NYC) and The Bridge Theatre Training Company (London). As an actress she has appeared in plays such as The House of Bernarda Alba by Federico García Lorca, Three Sisters by Anton Chekhov, Come Back to The Five and Dime Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean by Ed Graczyk and The Love of the Nightingale by Timberlake Wertenbaker. As a dramaturg, writer and theatre critic she has contributed work to Teatre de L'opprime (Theatre of the Oppressed, Paris), Mark Aspen reviews, The Twickenham Tribune and Brexit Stage Left (ongoing ebook project. Ed. Margherita Laera).

She is a recent graduate from The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama

Christina is a British theatre professional with experience in directing, producing and dramaturgy. Born in South-West London, she has worked across the city including directing with The Write Network in Walthamstow and completing an internship in theatre management with The Kings Head Theatre in Islington. She has also worked with Pontio, creating devised theatre work in North Wales. Christina has a broad background in marketing that includes working with theatre companies such as You Me Bum Bum Train. Christina also practices photography, specialising in performance photography. Christina’s work as a writer and critic can be found on her blog, The Empty Blogspace (christinabulford.co.uk), Mark Aspen Reviews and in the Twickenham Tribune.

Christina holds a master’s degree in dramaturgy and theatre criticism from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama
